select_statement

David Gilmore Sep 13, 2017 01:39AM PKT

I have conditional select statements. One returns columns a, b, and c. Another returns columns c, d, e, and f. The query is dependent on a master grid selection. The selection action happens with no errors but the grid does not change. Do I need to refresh the grid so that it picks up the query change? Thanks in advance.

This requirement is little difficult.

The grid is loaded with 2 server calls.
1) make structure of grid (i.e. columns headers, dialogs etc)
2) do an ajax call, to load data of grid.

Now if you are changing columns of grid, that means ajax call will not map it as returned data have different field names and count.
One option is to do a complete refresh, which will re-create new grid structure.

Another option is to use nested subgrid. When we click (+) on row, nested subgrid always load structure and data both.
